- Eigen vector = characteristic vector of square matrix
- A vector that does not change its direction in a linear transformation.
- shear mapping - vector that doesn't change when matrix is squished (sheared)
- Relationship:
- Eigenvector is the direction stretched by the transformation
- Eigenvalue the factor by which it is stretched.
